• Make sure you have plenty of time to park and walk to your destination on campus. We suggest coming 30 minutes earlier than your scheduled appointment or class start time.
• Leave your car at home and ride the Highlander Hauler shuttle service.
• Use alternative transportation. Incentives are available to participants in the Alternative Transportation program. We offer several options so you don’t need to use your own vehicle.
• Use alternate routes. Campus Circle Drive becomes congested and gridlocked particularly during class changes. Save time by not using the inner campus roads unless you have to.
• Park head-in and within the lines at the correct angle. This allows other cars to park next to you without damaging anyone’s vehicle.
• Completely secure your vehicle before you leave it. Keeping valuables locked in your trunk or out of sight will help deter theft.
• At night use the campus escort service to accompany you to your car or other locations.
• Make sure your permit is in plain view and visible from the front of your car.
• Order your parking permit early enough for it to be mailed to you before you need it.
